About
May 17, 2010
Dinner a Vingt is about food and getting together alike. It celebrates existing and future friendships. It follows the tradition of the French salon and artist’s salon as a meeting point for curious citizens to share their minds and create a public sphere for critical discourse and respectful gossip. Since we need reasons to convene, food is what I throw in as a cause; a reason for us to prove that we are equally able to listen and speak to each other; drawing from our resources of stories and thoughts as well as from our need to relax and have fun. Dinner a Vingt is a dinner with 20.
I’m a strong proponent of social media technology. However, I do believe, technologies cannot compete with the simple magnitude and beauty of physical presence and all the pleasures that come along with it. Bon Appétit!
